We are going back to the basics and learning how to build a box from scratch. We will learn to use essential workshop tools to construct a wooden display box that showcases a collection of hand-sculpted bugs. Using beads and Sculpey, we will create a variety of bugs found in East Rock Park and our imaginations to add to our newly made box. Finally, we will create a “bee hotel” that will provide a necessary nesting space for solitary bees that seek shelter in natural cavities.
